Kristina Anne Homesley and Matthew Jackson Swift were married June 20 at 5 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. The Rev. Keys Pendleton and Jamie Johnston officiated .

The bride is the daughter of Walter and Martha Anne Homesley of Thomasville. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Quinn. The bride is a 2005 graduate of Ledford High School and a 2009 graduate of UNC-Greensboro, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She is employed with Attorney James E. Snyder Jr. in Lexington.

The bridegroom is the son of Jack and Sue Swift of Mount Airy. He is the grandson of Ivylyn Swift and Frankie Montgomery. The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of North Surry High School and a 2007 graduate of UNC-Pembroke. He is employed as the community recreation specialist for the city of Lexington Recreation and Parks Department.

Jennifer and Justin Freeman were the soloists during the wedding, and Rob Porter was the organist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless satin gown fashioned with a pick-up skirt. The bodice was embellished with bead work. She carried a bouquet of blush pink and cream roses.

Quinn Cromer of High Point was her sister’s matron of honor and Mallory Reece of Winston-Salem was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Brittany Stamper of Salisbury; Jessica Shelton and Lauren Brendle, both of High Point; Natalie Ray of Lumberton; and Natasha Gainous of Eatonton, Ga. They wore black satin tea-length dresses with a sweetheart cut and hot pink sashes. Their bouquets were designed of various colors of pink gerbera daisies.

The flower girls were Anna Gwyn, cousin of the bridegroom, and Mary Grace Homesley, niece of the bride.

The ring bearers were Baylor Homesley and Jackson Cromer, nephews of the bride.

The best men were Jack Swift, father of the bridegroom, and Joe Swift, brother of the bridegroom, both of Mount Airy. The groomsmen were Jay Bowman of Jamestown; Tripp Lockhart of High Point; Kevin Masten of Pilot Mountain; Cory Watson and Justin Freeman, both of Mount Airy; Jon Spell of Mount Holly; and Matt Peters of West Jefferson.

The junior groomsman was Braden Homesley, nephew of the bride.

The program attendants were Kayla Swift and Tracey Lightfoot. Tyler Wells presided at the guest register.

The reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville. Greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wells, Mrs. Harlene Harrell and Mrs. Susan Wheeler.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Aruba. They reside in Thomasville.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents in the fellowship hall of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Catering was provided by “On Time Catering” of Lexington.
