PINNACLE — Mrs. Helen Louise Garrison Neher, 92, of Pinnacle, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Neher was born in Kosciusko County, Ind., Nov. 20, 1916, to Mark William and Ida Mae Stroup Garrison. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Kenneth Dixon of Pinnacle; grandchildren, Glenn Mock of Kissimmee, Fla., and David Mock and wife Sandra of Mount Airy and Tammy Hicks and husband Clinton of Pilot Mountain; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Neher was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Zachary Mock; sisters, Ola Wilcken, Hazel Neibert and Mary Ringler; brothers, Carl Garrison and Lloyd Garrison; and a son-in-law, Bobby Dixon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tommy Slate. Burial will follow in Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
