The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Paula Brinkley of Pilot Mountain. She is the granddaughter of Josephine Brinkley of Pilot Mountain and Dot Brannock of Mount Airy. She graduated from East Surry High School in 2007 and enrolled in the practical nursing program at Forsyth Technical Community College. She is employed at Senior Quality Care.
The bridegroom is the son of Jerry Collins of Cana, Va., and Kathy Collins and Johnny Arnder of Mount Airy. He is the grandson of Bob and Gertrude Collins of Cana and Elizabeth Gates of Mount Airy. He graduated from Mount Airy High School in 2006 and is employed at Surry-Yadkin EMC.
Linda Denney played the organ and the piano, while Gina Hoots and Mary Alice Hoots performed the vocals.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride wore a gown of satin with an A-line, split-front overskirt and embroidery and chapel-length train. Her two-tier veil was elbow-length with accents of crystals and corded edge. The bride also wore a comb with crystal and pearl clusters. Her flowers were red and white Asiatic lilies mixed with red roses and one yellow rose in memory of her grandfather.
The maid of honor was Maggie Brinkley, sister of the bride, of Pilot Mountain. Her floor-length ball gown was strapless apple red satin designed with side ruching with beaded bodice and organza insert. She carried a bouquet of red Asiatic lilies with white roses.
The bridesmaids were Deyton Rogers of Mount Airy; Brittany Cook of Ararat; Katie Matthews of Westfield; and Sarah Brannock of Mount Airy. Their floor-length halter ball gowns featured side ruching and overlay skirt. They carried bouquets of white roses.
The flower girl was Emma Davis of Mount Airy. She wore a miniature version of the bride’s dress.
The ring bearer was Bryan Collins of King.
The best man was Jerry Collins of Cana. The groomsmen were Johnny Arnder of Mount Airy; Eric Sawyers of Ararat, Va.; Alan Jones of Kernersville; and Mike Mills of Mount Airy. The ushers were Joseph Brannock of Mount Airy and Scott Nicholson of Pilot Mountain.
Tonya Lineberry attended the guest registry, while Ellen White and Annie Brinkley were the program attendants.
Glenda Beasley was the wedding director.
The reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held in the church fellowship hall.
The couple later departed on a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Fla. They reside in Pilot Mountain.
The rehearsal was held in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church and hosted by Kathy Collins and Johnny Arnder.
