Staci Lynne Welch and Toby Ryan Hiatt where married May 16 in a private ceremony. Scotty Mabe officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Tim Welch of Mount Airy and Lou Anne White of Kernersville. She is the granddaughter of Frank and Jerri Welch and Ray White of Mount Airy and the late Annie Mae White. She graduated from Mount Airy High School in 2001 and graduated from Surry Community College 2006. She is employed by Southern Community Bank and Trust.

The bridegroom is the son of Chuck and Tonya Hiatt of Mount Airy. He is the grandson of Fred and Margaret Hiatt and Norma Tucker of Mount Airy and the late Joe Bill Tucker. He graduated from North Surry High School in 2001. He is self employed for Drive Interiors.

The wedding music was performed by Drew Holder.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white chiffon gown with pleated bust, empire waist and tie back by Galina. She carried a bouquet of white roses, stargazer lilies and hydrangeas.

The maid of honor was Stephanie Welch, sister of the bride. She wore a fuchsia knee-length dress.

Chuck Hiatt served as best man.

Ushers were Tyler Hiatt and Tanner Hiatt, brothers of the groom, and Blake Shinault and Brady Shinault, nephews of the bride.

The flower girl was Alyssa Shinault, niece of the bride, and the ring bearer was Noah Hiatt, brother of the groom.

The wedding was directed by Donna Tucker.

A reception followed at Pilot Knob Park hosted by the bride’s parents. The guest attendants were Rebecca Horne, Jennifer Jones and Abbey Hiatt.

The bridal couple later departed on a wedding trip to Dunn's River, Jamaica.

They will reside in Mount Airy.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents. The caterers for the reception where the women of Union Hill Friends.
