More than $4,000 in assorted tools and power equipment was discovered missing earlier this week from an outbuilding and barn on The Hollow Road in the Willis Gap community, according to Sheriff Dan Smith.
The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between Sunday and Monday.
Patrick authorities are seeking details from the public about the case. Anyone with information can call the sheriff or Investigator Nick Pendleton at (276) 694-3161, or Patrick County Crimestoppers at (276) 694-5000.
Callers do not have to reveal their identities when supplying information and a reward will be given for details leading to the arrest and prosecution of whoever committed the theft in Ararat.
