Mount Airy shortstop Megan Sechrist prepares to tag out a South Stokes runner at second base Tuesday. The Granite Bear girls struggled offensively and in the field, falling to visiting Northwest 1-A Conference opponent South Stokes, 9-1. The Bears will take on non-conference rival Surry Central at home Thursday beginning at 5 p.m.
