BizFest is an opportunity for local businesses and business representatives from Surry County to build relationships and celebrate the products and services available in this area.

The event is scheduled for April 4 at Cross Creek Country Club. Attendees and interested vendors are encouraged to visit www.surryedp.com to register and obtain more information about becoming a vendor.

The theme for BizFest is “Celebrating Business and Innovation in Surry County,” according to a written statement from the Surry County Economic Development Partnership, who partnered with The Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce and the Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce to plan and host the event. Bizfest is sponsored by Surry Telephone Membership Corporation.

Other sponsors for the event include Cross Creek Country Club, WorkForce Carolina, Pine State Marketing, Cooke Rentals, Kelly Office Solutions, 15 Beans, Granny Ruth’s Bakery, Old North State Winery & Brewery, and Shelton Vineyards.

BizFest will begin at 8 a.m. with networking until 8:30 a.m., followed by a panel discussion from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The panel discussion will feature leaders of local businesses who will talk about “new products and creative approaches that [are] allowing them to move forward in today’s economy.”

Following the panel discussion, the show floor will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. to the business community. Exhibitors will showcase their products and services.

Two seminars are on the schedule: an innovation seminar from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and a seminar about motivation from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Cross Creek Country Club will host the Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
