JONESVILLE — The Surry Central girls’ soccer team claimed their eighth shutout of the season against Starmount on Wednesday by a score of 7-0 and remain undefeated.

The Golden Eagles record is 9-0 overall, 3-0 in the conference.

Kelsey Taylor scored two goals for the team in the first half, Haylee Harrison scored one, Sarah Bruce had one, Victoria Olchowoj scored one with an assist by Bruce, Laura Dobbins scored one; and Sophie Williams scored the only goal of the second half with an assist by Bruce.

Head Coach Matt Richardson called the victory a team effort with spread-out scoring.
