GREENVILLE, S.C. — Gary Ann Brannock, 80, wife of Ralph Arnold Brannock, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at her home. Born in Monroe, La., she was a daughter of the late Gary and Oza Mae Thorne Stephens. Mrs. Brannock was retired from the hotel business after many years of service and was a member of Greenville First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid Gamecock and football fan and looked forward to watching hummingbirds every spring. In addition to her husband of 40 years, Mrs. Brannock is survived by two daughters, Virginia Ann “Ginny” Robinson and husband David, and Linda Jean Curtis; three sons, Mike Brannock, Gary Brannock and Terry Brannock and wife Treena; three grandchildren, Halston Ann Poole, R. Michael Brannock Jr. and Jason Brannock; and two great-grandchildren, Penelope Ann Poole and Riley Grace Poole. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Mae Stephens; and two brothers, Palmer Stephens and Bobby Stephens. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Graceland East Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary prior to the service.
