Northern Hospital of Surry County’s Medical Specialists practice has announced the retirement of one of its physicians and the addition of two doctors.

Charles R. Bokesch, M.D., is retiring from the practice effective Jan. 1.

“Dr. Bokesch has tirelessly and compassionately served his patients, Northern Hospital, and the community for over 35 years. Please join us in wishing him all the best,” the hospital said in a written statement released Friday.

In the same statement, the hospital said Tamas Balogh, M.D., a board certified cardiologist, and Donald Graham, M.D., a board certified pulmonologist, will become affiliated with the practice on a full-time basis beginning Jan. 1. The practice will offer a full range of cardiopulmonary diagnostic services.
