Mr. Coy Lee Harrell, 63, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Surry County on August 7, 1949 to the late Joseph J. Harrell and Sarah Alice Fulk Harrell. Mr. Harrell was retired from Food Lion. He was on the Board of Directors for White Pines Country Club and the Board of Directors for Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife, Myra Byerly Harrell of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Dan Sykes of King, Tammy and Ronnie Johnson of Mount Airy; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Michelle Clark of Mount Airy; eight grandchildren; four sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda Eaton, Mary Ann Harrell, Robin and Bruce Crigger, Lisa Molina all of Mount Airy; two brothers, T.J. Harrell of Cana, VA, Johnny Harrell of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathon Colby Johnson; a brother, Michael Joseph Harrell. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev. Johnny Easter officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 12:30 PM until time to go to the cemetery for the service.
