Local organizers have planned a Christian youth rally to give young people a safe place to go where they can have fun and learn more about Christ.

The event called Surry Youth Ablaze will be held on Saturday from 12 to 9 p.m. in the gym at North Surry High School.

Speakers at the event will be Jeff Bowman of Genesis Church, Richard Cavey, Greggory Peeples, Dwaine Willard of Living Waters and Josh Stegenga of (HSTOS) His Scars to Our Scars.

Drama teams Sanctified of Genesis Church and Generation HOPE of Lighthouse Church will perform.

Decyfer band with T.J. Harris will be performing along with Radiate Christ band, Mercy Heart from Granite Falls and TripSeven.

The Chick-fil-A mascot will also be there for the event. So far 600 people on Facebook have been invited. David Bumgarner of WBFJ 103.1 FM will be the emcee for the day.

This is a free event. For more information, call or text 710-9425 or 756-1425.
