Arrests
The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has reported the following arrests:
• On Oct. 18, Jody Dale Golding, 33, of Copeland School Road in Dobson, was arrested and charged with the larceny of a firearm, the possession of a firearm and larceny, all felonies. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
• On Oct. 24, Jesus Alberta Pinzen Silvas, 18, of West Mount Herman Church Road, was arrested and charged with first-degree rape. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
Incidents
The following incidents are under investigation by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office:
• On Oct. 21, Steven Owens Martin, 63, of Kapps Mill Road in Elkin, reported the theft of a 1950 Dodge pickup from his property. The vehicle was valued at $1,000.
• On Oct. 21, Ricky Dean Surratt, 54, of Rockford Road in Dobson, reported vandalism to a support beam on his porch. The damage was valued at $100.
• On Oct. 21, Jack Mathis Brightwell, 28, of Coachman Lane in Mount Airy, reported the vandalism of a window on his home. The broken window was valued at $100.
• On Oct. 20, Jeffrey Eli Trenter, 31, of Springs Street in Mount Airy, reported the theft of a .22 caliber revolver from his home. The pistol was valued at $250.
• On Oct. 20, Anthony Gray Doby, 49, of Simpson Mill Road in Dobson, reported that someone had scratched the paint on his 2006 Mazda. The damage was valued at $1,000.
• On Oct. 19, employees at Jackson Motors on West Pine Street in Mount Airy, reported the theft of a 2002 Ford Taurus. The vehicle was valued at $4,500.
• On Oct. 19, Arla Karen Torman, 51, of Southwycke Lane in Pilot Mountain, reported the theft of a debit card.
• On Oct. 19, Thomas Anthony Childress, 32, of Melissa Drive in Mount Airy, reported the theft of a female pit bull valued at $400.
