DOBSON — The Surry County Parks and Recreation Department is joining the Surry County Sports Hall of Fame Committee to announce the inductees for the 2012 class into the county’s Sports Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor.
This year’s induction ceremony will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 4 p.m., in the gymnasium of Surry Community College.
Hall of Fame inductees for this year include John B. Anderson, Ed Callaway, Donald Gray Davis Sr., (Blois) Bud Grissom, Richard (Buzz) Hauser, F.A. Martin, Ben Norman and Kelly Jack Swift.
Ring of Honor inductees this year include the 2002 Mount Airy Men’s basketball team, Robert H. Moody, Al Peavy, and Keri W. Campbell and Christie Sanders.
The unveiling of the monument ceremony will be held just prior to the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Fisher River Park in Dobson.
