Sedgewick Homes LLC presented Northern Hospital’s of Surry County’s Volunteer Program with a check for $1,000 on Friday, Aug. 10, as part of Sedgewick Homes’ Servant’s Heart Program.

The Servant’s Heart Program is Sedgewick’s way of recognizing and honoring the contributions made by what the company called “community servants,” by making a donation to organizations a Sedgewick home buyer is affiliated with, if the organization is from the fields of primary and secondary school teachers, police officers, fire fighters, nursing, EMS, or the military.

A Sedgewick representative recently presented the check to Northern Hospital on behalf of employee Amy Shough, who works as an operating room nurse after she and her husband, Kevin, purchased a home through Sedgewick.

On hand for the presentation were Sedgewick representative Ray Ruppe, Shough, and Volunteer Services Director Kaye Puckett.

“We are very pleased to receive the generous donation from Amy and Sedgewick Homes for our volunteer department,” Puckett said.
