A charter bus trip to Cherokee this week has been announced by officials at L.H. Jones Family Resource Center, which periodically sponsors outings to Harrah’s Casino there.
Passengers will be picked up Friday at 8 a.m. at the former Blockbuster site on Independence Boulevard in Mount Airy, and the bus is to make another stop at McDonald’s in Jonesville at 8:30 a.m. for more riders.
The cost is $40 per person, which includes receiving $20 in coins once arriving at the casino. One must be at least 21 years old and have a form of photo identification in order to enter.
Those interested are asked to call Sheryl Gilliam at 786-6155, ext. 225, to sign up for the trip.
