Arrests

The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has reported the following arrests:

• On July 17, Dustin Neil Lawson, 22, of Sheila Street in Mount Airy, was taken into custody on a felony Governor’s Warrant from Virginia.

• On July 17, Bowen Robert Ward, 41, of West Pine Street in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice.

• On July 17, Nancy Anita Dalton, 35, of Gravely Street in Mount Airy, was taken into custody on a felony Governor’s Warrant from Patrick County, Va.

Incidents

The following incidents are being investigated by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office:

• On July 14, Ginger Renee Reece, 56, of Highway 601 in Dobson, reported that someone broke into her home. No items were listed as missing.

• On July 14, Angela White Goad, 41, of Cherokee Trail in Mount Airy, reported the breaking and entering of her home and the theft of a dirt bike with a listed value of $2,300.

• On July 14, Edith Elizabeth Hatchcock, 67, of Gurney Road in East Bend, reported that someone had damaged a fence on her property. The damage was valued at $60.

• On July 14, Shannon Lee Wall, 38, of Ararat Road in Ararat, reported the larceny of a television, video game console and cell phone. The items were valued at more than $150.

• On July 13, Gerald Monroe Fowler, 39, of Derby Drive in King, reported that someone stole a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder and its contents. The items were valued at more than $10,000.

• On July 13, Debbie Holt Butner, 51, of Quaker Road in Mount Airy, reported the that someone struck her Nissan Altima with a tire tool. The damage was valued at $300.

• On July 13, Robert Lee Hodge, 32, of Pine Ridge Road in Mount Airy, reported the theft of a 1999 dirt bike valued at $2,000.

• On July 13, William Dillard Hicks Jr., 64, of Quaker Church Road in Siloam, reported the theft of a transmission valued at $300 from his yard.

• On July 13, Tracy Hunt Oakes, 38, of Poteat Road in Mount Airy, reported the theft of 87 7.5 mg. Percocet tablets valued at $105.
