• Ronald Nelson Poole, 40, of 127 Spurlin Lane, Lowgap, was cited for larceny after a Thursday night incident at Walmart, according to Mount Airy Police Department reports. Poole, who allegedly shoplifted items valued at about $80, is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on Aug. 16.
• Michael Draper Gravley, 34, of 1421 Fancy Gap Road, Room 17, was arrested Sunday on outstanding larceny and probation violations and held in the Surry County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond. Gravley is facing a Sept. 11 District Court appearance.
• A break-in and larceny were discovered at Veterans Memorial Park Saturday, which involved someone entering a park building and removing a 20-foot section of copper pipe used for a water line.
• Chester Sterling Pruett, 43, of 325 S. Main St., was arrested Friday as a fugitive from justice. Pruett was located at his residence and found to be wanted in Virginia on an unspecified matter. He was held in the Surry County Jail under a $35,000 secured bond and is to appear in District Court on Aug. 21.
• Judy Ann Hawks, 54, of 107 Split Rail Road, Cana, Va., turned herself in Friday on a larceny offense. Hawks is accused of stealing various jewelry items valued at nearly $150 from the gift shop at Northern Hospital of Surry County earlier that day. She is slated for an Aug. 14 District Court appearance.
• Raymond Lee Collins, 66, of 204 Booker St., is facing violations of larceny and possession of stolen property stemming from a July 9 incident at Dollar General at Thruway Shopping Center on North Andy Griffith Parkway, where Collins allegedly took cough drops and headache powders. He is to appear in Surry District Court on Sept. 12.
•David Edward Graham, 27, of 120 W. Pine St., was cited for transporting items without proper markings, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a Schedule III controlled substance after a July 9 traffic stop on Rockford Street. A pellet pistol was observed inside his vehicle, leading to a consent search that also turned up brass knuckles and a butterfly knife, police records show. Graham is to be in court on Aug. 7.
• Jenny Woodel Parks, 52, of 131 Meadowlark Road, was arrested as a fugitive from justice on July 8. Police encountered the woman after a reported domestic disturbance at her residence and found there was an outstanding warrant for Parks from Grayson County, Va., on an unspecified matter. She was released under a $7,500 secured bond.
• Damage to property was reported on July 8 at the home of Julie Gwyn Hicks on Park Drive, where someone threw a brick through the rear windshield of her vehicle. The damage was put at $250.
• William Michaux Rhoden, 22, of 312 Howard St., was cited for damage to property on July 7 after allegedly pulling down and bending awning supports at Waffle House on Rockford Street. Rhoden’s District Court appearance is set for Aug. 14.
• Courtney Alice Montgomery, 24, of 1012 Springs Branch Road, Ararat, Va., was cited for larceny at Burke’s Outlet on July 6 after allegedly taking Reebok shoes and six pair of socks valued at $40. Montgomery is to appear in District Court on Aug. 30 and has been banned from store property.
• A larceny was reported on July 5 at the Surry Telephone Membership Corp. office on Edgewood Drive, where someone took a large Motorola touch-screen smartphone valued at $410.
