Ruby Hauser Hodges, 77, of Yadkinville died Friday, June 15, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Hodges was born on July 30, 1934 in Surry County to the late George W. and Betty Holston Hauser. She was retired from Hanes Hosiery, and attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Mocksville. She is survived by three sons: Dennis Dwight Hodges, Willis Gregory (Sonia) Hodges, and Timothy Darrell (Susan) Hodges, all of Yadkinville; four grandchildren: Eric (Christina) Hodges, Stephanie (Kenneth) Murray, Pierce Hodges, and Darrell Hodges; two great-grandchildren: Ryan and Evan Hodges; and two sisters: Edith Jones and Margaret Edmond, both of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Eugene Tilton Hodges, a brother: George W. Hodges, and a sister: Dorothy McGee. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Walkertown (5676 Old Walkertown Road,) with Pastors Sheila Jonas and Kenneth Dees officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Mackie-Sinclair-Hawkins Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. in Yadkinville (2001 West Main Street.) In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials honoring Mrs. Hodges be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.)
