The larceny, which was reported Tuesday, occurred sometime between Friday and Monday at the home of Lori Rene Lankford and Taylor Addison Clark on Pinecrest Drive. A small Sentry lockable safe containing several items was taken. A list of the missing property includes $300 in cash, two passports and two Social Security cards. A pellet rifle also was stolen, with the loss totaling $750.
The case remains open for further investigation.
- Dorian Lamar Gwyn, 18, of 122 Square St., was issued a citation for larceny Tuesday stemming from an incident Thursday at Food Lion on West Lebanon Street. Gwyn is accused of removing Enzyte valued at $40 from its package and trying to leave without paying. He allegedly fled in a red Jeep Cherokee. Gwyn is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on Feb. 11.
