The staff at Franklin Elementary School recognized Prinicpal Jodi Southern for her work with the students and faculty during October’s designation as National Principal Appreciation Month.

“She inspires her staff to be the best by supporting them, training them, and working alongside them to ensure they are the best they can be. Our school benefits tremendously from having such a phenomenal leader,” the school said in a statement.

“In every gesture, big and small, and each act of kindness, Jodi’s heart for children is obvious and sincere,” said Michelle Salley, who works at the school.

“Mrs. Southern is a dedicated, hard-working principal who leads by example,” said Amy Clement.

“I have always been impressed that Jodi knows all the children here at Franklin, their names, their likes and dislikes, families, and such. She is mind boggling,” said Pam Rutherford

Those were the kind of statements nearly a dozen members of her staff made in commenting on her leadership and encouragement she offers.
