Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is hosting a Veteran’s Ball on Thursday, Nov. 2, to honor those who have served in the military.
“Hosting this dance is just one of the many activities we offer throughout the year with our ‘We Honor Veterans’ program,” said Sheila Jones, director of marketing for Mountain Valley Hospice. “This will be a great opportunity for veterans to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of music, dancing and food.”
These days, one in four Americans who die are veterans, and many of them have received hospice care, which, at Mountain Valley Hospice, is specifically targeted to meet the needs of veterans.
“Men and women who have served in the military present unique challenges at the end of life,” said Jones. “That’s why our staff and volunteers are trained to meet those challenges and are able to effectively respond to the needs of the veterans in our care.”
The dance will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Barn at Heritage Farm, off Caves Mill Road in Dobson.
Admission to the dance is free for veterans and a guest, but an RSVP is required. For more information or to register, call 336-789-2922.
