The Mount Airy Appearance Commission recently gave its Award of Recognition to Norma Sprinkle as a result of work she’s done at her business, The Pines Beauty Shop. The commission said Sprinkle had done an “ outstanding job” to make the shop, at 139 West Pine St., attractive. She is the property manager while the property owner is Harriet Investments. Sprinkle said she wanted to credit to Tammy Denney, who designed the plants for the baskets outside her shop, and to Brett Butera from the Davis Hotel across the street for watering the baskets each weekend. Pictured with Sprinkle is Appearance Commission member Paul Danley.
