The Lady Greyhounds held Winston-Salem Prep to single digits in every quarter for an easy 58-24 win on Senior Night. The Hounds outscored the Lady Phoenix 15-8 in the first quarter. Vernon, Prep in shoot-out at North Surry
Winston-Salem Prep jumped out to a big lead on North Surry before Grayson Vernon got the Hounds back in contention. The Phoenix matched the sharpshooter shot for shot, however, and Prep came away with an 85-72 win Friday. The Mount Airy Middle School girls basketball team has finished with an unblemished regular season record of 14-0. The Lady Bears then topped this feat off by improving to 17-0, winning the Foothills Basketball Tournament at Meadowview Middle School. The Lady Greyhounds finished the first half with a big run, then cruised to a 65-39 win over North Stokes Tuesday.
