Local National Guard unit returns from Kuwait
Members of the Mount Airy National Guard unit returned Thursday afternoon from a mission to Kuwait which began last summer. The local soldiers were mostly tradesmen making up Detachment 2 of the North Carolina Army National Guard’s 882nd Engineer Company, which is based in Mocksville.
