A pilot involved in a crash Thursday night at Mount Airy-Surry County Airport has been identified. Chris Gammons was the person injured in the incident, according to Myron Waddell, senior supervisor of Surry County Emergency Services. Gammons is about 35 and has a Statesville address, Waddell said, and is a former Surry County resident.
