Run to the Ridge set for last weekend in July
The Run to the Ridge Bike Rally and concert will be held July 26-28 at Veterans Park. This is the third annual fundraiser for the local non-profit organization Matthew 25:35. Lowgap man facing Greensboro charges
GREENSBORO — A Lowgap man is facing charges, including a felonious first-degree sexual offense, which were filed during the weekend in Greensboro. In addition to the sex offense, John Ray Garland Gunter, 34, is accused of being intoxicated and disruptive, a misdemeanor, according to court records. The Mount Airy Board of Education held recognitions for a large amount of student achievements at the close of the school year while pausing Tuesday night to honor the horror tornadoes brought to Oklahoma. Vineyard Stomp 5k race series begins June 1
A new series of 5K races is starting this year, with all of the events being held at local vineyards. The Vineyard Stomp is a four-event series cross-country races entirely on dirt or grass trails that lead around and through local vineyards. Fourth annual Marine Mud Run is scheduled for June 1
PINNACLE — The Percy John Fulton Detachment 1075 of the Winston-Salem Marine Corps League announces the fourth annual Marine Mud Run to be held June 1 at Jomeokee Park and Campground in Pinnacle.
