Belk associates stage makeover projects at Flat Rock Elementary
Area Belk associates have volunteered time and materials for a local school to mark the 125th anniversary of the department store this year. Belk of Mayberry Mall associates worked in partnership with Points of Light, an organization which helps mobilize and coordinate the retail chain’s efforts. Mount Airy police are investigating a weekend traffic crash on U.S. 52 involving three vehicles, which led to the death of a 73-year-old local man. The wreck Saturday afternoon involved a pickup and two sport-utility vehicles that were part of chain-reaction rear-end collisions on the southbound portion of the highway near Bluemont Road, according to police. HILLSVILLE, Va. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a Lambsburg man who is being sought on multiple charges.
