Hooker received that distinction as a full-time fireman, while Sechrist was tapped as the top part-time member of the department. Each was recognized for the high quality of service provided during 2012 through balloting among their peers, who include 40 full- and part-time and reserve firefighters. Hooker and Sechrist are shown at the recent Christmas breakfast of the department which was attended by more than 90 present and former members.
