My son has been looking for a job for almost 2 years in Surry County. He has had a awful time finding a job because of having to fill out job applications online. He did land one job at a local business and because he said he didnt want to work on Sundays because he puts God first in his life and he wanted to be in church the business said "well we can't hire you". We attend church on Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings and Sunday nights and my children love to go. Thank God!! My opinion is that if you own a business or you manage a business and a kid tells you that he dont wanna work on Wednesday nights and Sundays because he want to be in church then for Gods sake respect that and let the kid be off. I would rather teens be in church than on drugs and alcohol and partying. I know some teens might lie about wanting to be off on Sundays for church but my kid is not. He just wants to live a Christian lifestyle and the world wont let him. Let the teens that dont wanna go to church work in the place of the ones that do. I thank God for touching my child in this way and I pray he gets a job somewhere that will let him off work to Praise God. He is still unemployed and having Faith that the right job will come along!

I want to thank you for posting that, here in the big city of Cleveland,OH, it's terrible as well, regarding employment. First, of all, when employers put out the word they need help, and you go and apply, thinking, you have the experience they are looking for, then you don't hear anything?! Don't you know, they aren't looking for someone like you, no!!! they want a brain surgeon, one with 50 yrs of experience so they can pay them minimum wage...it happens to me a lot...teenagers in your area, should never feel bad about putting Jesus first, he should be first in every area of our lives! Do I hear an Amen?
