• A Mount Airy woman turned herself in Monday evening at the city police station on felony charges that had been filed the day before in Stokes County. Jessica Marie Marchetti, 27, of 323 Millard Lane, is accused of obtaining property by false pretenses and receiving stolen goods. The offenses were issued through the King Police Department, but details regarding them were not listed in Mount Airy Police Department reports. Marchetti is free on a $5,000 unsecured bond and scheduled to appear in Stokes District Court on March 13.
• Also Monday, Jane Boles Valentine, 47, of 405 Worth St., was served with a criminal summons on a violation of failing to return rental property to Rent-A-Center on South Andy Griffith Parkway.
• Adrienne Lawanda Kikki Phillips, 32, of 182 Eleanor Ave., was charged with possession of cocaine, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 12 after officers arrested the woman on Rockford Street for failing to appear in court in July 2009 and allegedly found her in possession of those items. Phillips also is facing a second-degree trespassing violation from June 2003. She was held in the county jail in lieu of a $7,000 secured bond and is slated for a March 21 District Court appearance.
• Tony William Epperson, 39, of 1667 Bryant Road, was arrested on Feb. 11 after a city police traffic stop on U.S. 52-South at Main Street revealed active warrants on him for charges of felony conspiracy to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance; and sale or delivery of a Schedule II substance. They had been filed by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 4. Epperson was confined in the county jail under a $15,000 secured bond and has a March 27 District Court date.
• Michael Ray Norman, 42, of 504 Maple St., was served with an outstanding warrant for second-degree trespassing on Feb. 11, which had been issued on Feb. 7. Norman was held in the Surry County Jail under a $554 bond and is to be in court on March 19.
