Millennium Charter Academy student Elizabeth Campbell presents Surry Cancer Awareness Team Chairman Judy Smith with a check for $800 which was earned with the school’s annual Pink Out event as participants look on. The Pink Out was a cooperative effort by the school’s presidential leadership council, soccer and volleyball teams as well as the student leadership council. Smith said the proceeds are used to benefit local cancer patients.
