Local law enforcement officials are searching for suspects in a third armed robbery in less than a week.

At 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, Mount Airy Police Department received a call of an armed robbery at the Super C store at the intersection of Riverside Drive and East Pine Street.

As of 11:07 p.m., no suspects had been apprehended.

This armed robbery follows one Thursday night around midnight at the Circle K store on Red Brush Road at the I-74 interchange, and another Sunday night at the Cupboard No. 2 in White Plains, during which the store operator shot at the suspects as they left the store.

The first two robberies are believed to be related, and are being investigated by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information on any of these armed robberies are asked to call the Surry County Sheriff’s Office at 401-8900, Mount Airy Police Department at 786-3535 or Crimestoppers at 786-4000.
