AYERS

MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Alma Claudine Ayers, 63, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born Nov. 16, 1949, in Surry County to the late Leonard Mosco and Eva Euelala Puckett. Mrs. Ayers was a homemaker. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Samantha Ayers; a daughter, Barbara Allen of the home; grandchildren, Jordan, Carson and Preston Ayers; and brothers, C.T., David and Leonard Junior Puckett, all of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Ayers; and a sister, Linda Gail Westmoreland. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Doug Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Hollow Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
