CANA, Va. — Mrs. Louella Alyne Coulson Ayers, 80, of Cana, passed away at Heritage Hall of Laurel Fork on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. She was born in Carroll County on Feb. 8, 1932, to the late Thomas Coulson and Clementine McMillian Ayers. Mrs. Ayers was retired from Lynne Hosiery and was a member of Crooked Oak Moravian Church. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Bonnie Ayers of Cana, Tim and Daphne Ayers of Mount Airy and Keith and Cheryl Ayers of Cana; grandchildren and spouses, B.J. and Beth Ayers of Fancy Gap, Andrew and Brooke Ayers of Lexington, Taffi Ayers of Albuquerque, N.M., Autumn Ayers of Rural Hall, Joe Ayers of Asheboro, Brian and Selest Ayers of Pfafftown and Cagney Ayers of Mount Airy; great-grandchildren, Evan, Hoke, Hayden, Caroline, Liam and Jace; and a sister and brother-in-law, Antoinette and Everett Dawson of Ararat. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husband, Aubon Barnett Ayers; an infant daughter, Sheila Ann Ayers; sisters, Josie Hylton, Sylvia Yarbrough, Mary Hiatt and Virginia Ferguson; and brothers, Clarence, Okra and Lester Coulson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Easter and the Rev. Charles Fishel officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Moravian Church Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mt.
