Two recent local high school graduates have been named recipients of the annual grant-in-aid from the Alpha Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Educational International Society.
Madison Bowman of East Surry High School and Amy Wilson, of Mount Airy High School, were both named recipients of the annual award.
Madison is the daughter of Cheryl and Charles Bowman. She will be attending Appalachian State University where she plans to major in elementary education.
Amy is the daughter of Cindy and Scott Wilson. She also will be attending Appalachian State University to major in elementary education.
