FLETCHER — Local competitors came in as top llama showers at the N.C. Mountain State Fair during its opening weekend.
In intermediate youth competition, Janessa Hall of Surry County’s Shangrila’s Mr. Seymore Beans was named ALAS performance champion. She also showed Sir Sponsalot Pongo who was named ALAS performance champion HF in costume category and advanced competition.
Greg Hall of Surry County showed Shangrila’s Reepicheep, who was named ALAS performance champion in novice competition. He also showed Good Ol’ Smiley, who was named ALAS performance reserve champion in advanced and ALAS performance champion in carting category.
