The Surry Arts Council presents The Embers in their seasonal holiday show “Christmas with the Embers” at the Andy Griffith Playhouse.
“This will be an entertaining evening full of inspirational Christmas pieces and classic holiday sing-alongs, The Embers Christmas Show is sure to bring a festive spirit, the warmth of the holidays, and family traditions to Mount Airy,” said John Tomlinson, The Embers’ agent.
Tomlinson said the Christmas show this year will not be “the same old show.” He said the group will be performing more musical numbers and doing less skits.
“It’s all new this year. We have a whole new format. It’s more informal. They will be playing blues, jazz and some Chuck Berry — all Christmas tunes,” Tomlinson said.
The performance begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. For tickets contact the Surry Arts Council at 786-7998 or visit www.surryarts.org.
