Arrests

The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has reported the following arrests:

• On Jan. 31, Philip Everette Coe, 25, of Fox William Road in Dobson, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, larceny and failure to appear. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $26,500 secured bond.

• On Feb. 1, Danny Ray Tilley, 44, of Mill Creek Road in East Bend, was arrested and charged with the failure to register as a sex offender. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

• On Feb. 4, Gregory Clifton Linville, 17, of Springview Lane in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with five counts of breaking and entering, five counts of larceny and five counts of the possession of stolen goods. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

• On Feb. 4, Joseph Lee Tate, 36, of Peele Road in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with felony larceny, the possession of stolen goods and breaking and entering. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

• On Feb. 5, Alice Simmons Brown, 61, of Reely Cook Road in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with obtaining property under false pretenses. She was released from the Surry County Jail with a written promise to appear in court.

Incidents

The following incidents are under investigation by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office:

• On Feb. 1, employees at Surry-Yadkin Electric Coop reported the theft of an electric meter and electric power at a residence located at 116 Fox Walk Lane in Pilot Mountain. The items taken had a listed value of $200.

• On Feb. 1, employees at Blue Mountain Petroleum, located on Highway 268 in Dobson, reported the theft of a case of Natural Light Beer and a bottle of Aquafina water. The items taken had a listed value of just under $20.

• On Feb. 1, Michael Paul King, 33, of Burke Road in Mount Airy, reported that someone tried to unlock his door with the wrong key to gain entry into his residence, breaking off the key in the lock. Damage to the door was listed at $25.

• On Feb. 3, Freddy Perez Ochoa, 36, of Mayview Lane in Dobson, reported the theft of a Kawasaki four-wheeler from his carport. The four-wheeler was valued at $1,500.

• On Feb. 3, Tony Randall Mayes, 51, of Luffman Road in Dobson, reported the theft of a tan and white female Boxer bulldog valued at $200.

• On Feb. 3, Davie Wayne Vaughn, 45, of Siloam Road in Mount Airy, reported that someone broke into his home and stole various narcotics valued at $85.

• On Feb. 3, Debbie Simmons Wilmoth, 59, of Arthur Haney Road in Dobson, reported the breaking and entering of her property and the theft of jewelry valued at more than $2,000.

• On Feb. 3, Gary Dean Baker, 52, of Reed Island Lane in Pinnacle, reported the breaking and entering of his home and the theft of various mechanical equipment valued at more than $2,000.
