Incidents

The following incidents have been investigated by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office:

• On July 2, Tammy Walker Mastin, 46, of N.C. 268 in Elkin, reported that someone had broken into her home. The damage to her door and lock was valued at $300.

• On July 1, Adam Wayne rose, 22, of Hamlin Ford Road in Dobson, reported that someone broke into his vehicle and stole about $140 in cash, sunglasses, a toolbox and a GPS unit. The total value of the items taken was listed at more than $600.

• On June 30, Edward Lee Childress, 60, of Vine Street in Mount Airy, reported the theft of a toolbox and chainsaw from an outbuilding at his home. The items taken were valued at about $250.

• On June 30, Jessica Abby Jones, 22, of Danaway Lane in Westfield, reported that someone entered her home and removed copper wire valued at $500.
