MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Dorothy Lee Ayers Senter, 76, of Mount Airy, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. Mrs. Senter was born in Carroll County, Va., on July 17, 1936, to Arlis Ayers and Mary Velen Pugh Jones. She was a long-time member of Bottom Road Tabernacle, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to so many. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Bobby Laws Sr. of Liberty, S.C., and Marie and Jimmy Scruggs of Pickens, S.C.; sons and daughters-in-law, Fred Senter Sr. and Shelby of Mount Airy, Jacky and Nancy Senter of Fountain Inn, S.C., and Roger and Tina Senter of Oak Island; grandchildren, Donna Tinsley, Michelle Fuller, Bobby Laws Jr., Robby Senter, Rodney Senter, R.J. Senter, Tanya Senter, Misty Senter, Terry Bagwell, Tina Crumpton, Amy Torres, Fred Senter Jr., Matthew Senter and Kim Scruggs; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Annie and Junior Haynes of Cana, Va.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Dawn Ayers of Woodlawn, Va. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Senter was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Senter; a granddaughter, Sue Ellen Senter; a sister, Imogene Allen; and brothers, Sam Ayers and Ken Ayers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Bottom Road Tabernacle by the Rev. Shirley Combs, the Rev. Garry Allen and the Rev. Bobby Laws Jr. Burial will follow in Stantliff Cemetery in Lambsburg. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
