MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Una Jane Hudson Seal, 84, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Seal was born in Surry County on Dec. 8, 1928, to Ed and Nora Creed Hudson. She was retired from Perry Manufacturing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Mal Jarrell of Mount Airy and Sandra and Gary Edwards of King; a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Debbie Seal of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Adam Edwards and wife Nancy and Brandy Mauldin and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Anna Edwards, Brayden Edwards, Olivia Mauldin and Sarah Mauldin; a sister, Josephine Griffin of Rockwell; and a beloved pet, Sammy Ray Seal. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Seal was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ray Seal; and sisters, Nonnie Monday, Betty Glass and Ila Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow in New Life Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
