STATE ROAD — Mr. George Franklin Saylor, 83, of State Road, passed away on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. He was born in Forsyth County on Dec. 5, 1925, to the late Joseph Allen and Lila Mae Bowen Saylor. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Faye Callaway Saylor. Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Bobby Kistler of Statesville; and 12 nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, and his body rests at Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
