High school sweethearts Grady D. Pratt and Joann U. Wall Pratt celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Oct. 9. Grady and Joann grew up in Stokes County, attended Pinnacle School and were married Oct. 9, 1948.

Today they make their home on Pratt Road in Pinnacle, enjoying their two daughters, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Their daughters and husbands are Brenda and Gary L. Chilton of Westfield and Yulonda and Ted Hill of Advance.

Later this month the couple will continue their celebration as they plan to travel the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
