PILOT MOUNTAIN — The Pilot Mountain Area Merchants’ Association is hosting its second monthly meeting on Tuesday in the Reception Room of Pilot Mountain’s Quality Inn.

Organizers are inviting all businesses, including retailers, service providers, non-profits and other organizations to attend this open and free business and networking meeting. The agenda for November includes a time of formal attendee introductions and business descriptions, the election of officers and other tabled business matters.

Pilot Mountain Area Merchants’ Association held the first organization-structuring meeting in the spring at Chelli & Associates, with the next meeting on Sept. 29 at the Quality Inn. At this most recentmeeting, attendees voted and approved for the association to begin meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Quality Inn until participation and accommodations require a schedule or location change.

The organization is intended to be a free business and networking association open to all businesses located within the geographic boundaries of the Pilot Mountain area including: Shoals Road and east; Westfield and west; Pinnacle (exit) and north; and Cook School Road and south.

The mission statement is pending final member approval, but remains driven with the purpose of: providing an open meeting environment; to promote local business, local shopping, and local referrals; to keep all businesses and organizations apprised of all community events, programs and activities; to provide a united voice to express area business concerns to town, city, county and state governments; to build a complete and thorough database of all area businesses; and to discuss other miscellaneous business matters that can impact the local business environment.
