MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Nancy Joan Pell Parker, 58, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on June 7, 1954, to the late Elbert and Katherine Holyfield Pell. Mrs. Parker worked at Quality Mills before becoming disabled and was a member of Mount Airy Wesleyan Church. She is survived by her husband, Nelson Parker of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen Lynn and Jerry Lawson of Mount Airy; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Carol Pell of Dobson, Rickie and Tammy Pell and Richard and Peggy Pell, all of Mount Airy; several nieces and nephews; and her special pet, Max. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Loman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Airy Wesleyan Church, 2063 S.
