To the Editor,
About Fibrowatt: The truth is out. If the Fibrowatt incinerator is built, it will do what incinerators always do. Incinerators pollute. They spew poisons into the air. Human health suffers and property values fall. Fibrowatt would be by far the largest and worst polluter in the county.
The doctors have petitioned against it. The pharmacists also. Seventy five percent of the wine growers are against it. Farmers are against it. Polls show that the majority of our population is against it. And the electric power companies don’t want to by Fibrowatt’s power. It will be too expensive and may lead to higher power bills for the consumer. Yet our County Commissioners appear unconcerned about all this. They continue to support Fibrowatt. Don’t you have to wonder why?
