MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Barbara Lynn Koehler, 56, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Koehler was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 28, 1955, to Albert Partington and the late Nancy Elliott. She was a loving wife, mother and my best friend. She is survived by her husband, Fran Koehler of the home; a son, John Koehler of Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Margie Partington of Florida; a stepmother, Tootsie Partington of Florida; special aunt and uncle, Ester and John Mullers of Maryland; cousins, Paul and Janice Muller of Maryland; and best friend, Barbara Odom of Mount Airy. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Koehler was preceded in death by her best friend, Bob Odom. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Welcome Baptist Church with the Rev. Bailey Elmore officiating.
