The Rev. Garland and Barbara Garner Hall of Ramseur, formerly of Mount Airy, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 10. They were entertained at a reception in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Asheboro.

The celebration was hosted by their children, Vickie and Phillip Atkins of Mount Airy; Sherri and Kenneth McNeill of Robbins; Bobby and Wanda Hall of Salt Rock, W.Va.; Bruce Hall of Mount Airy; and Deborah and Brian Barker of Mount Airy. They have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

About 160 family and friends were present to congratulate the honored couple.

The Halls were married on Oct. 10, 1959. He is the pastor at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
