Julie Roseann Gilley graduated with honors on May 12 from Catawba College with a Bachelor of Arts in history and minors in secondary education and English.
She is one of seven Catawba graduates to graduate with honors after authoring an honors thesis entitled, “Would the Cream Still Rise? An Evaluation of Upward Bound.”
She graduated summa cum laude. In the fall, she will attend the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., to pursue a Master’s of Education in school counseling.
She is the daughter of Joseph and Janet Gilley of Dobson and the granddaughter of J.C. and Eunice Gilley of Dobson and the late Finley and Ada Money of Dobson.
